Tidal Marsh

IMG_2376Tidal marshes, small tributaries that feed into the ocean, delineate the coast of South Carolina. Because of the tides, the season and the interplay of light and clouds, their appearance is ever-changing. 

Luang Prabang, Laos

P1010106Luang Prabang, the former capitol of Laos, was once a regional center of Buddhism. The temples in this UNESCO World Heritage site are among the most sophisticated in Southeast Asia. At dawn you can hear the chanting of Buddhist nuns drifting from monasteries, followed by the chanting of Buddhist monks.
